A serious scandal erupted in Italy after the McDonald's chain attacked one of the most favorite foods of Italians - pizza. Pizza is not just food for the inhabitants of Botusha - it has become a cult, and the love for the temptation of the dough is proverbial.
The reason for the indignation of the Italian pizzerias and the head-on collision with McDonald's is an advertisement that presents a small Italian child who prefers the menu of the popular American chain Happy Meal to a piece of traditional pizza.
The Association of True Neapolitan Pizza (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana) is threatening McDonald's with a lawsuit because it believes the ad is a dishonest attack on one of the symbols of the Mediterranean diet.
The advertisement is in Italian and represents an ordinary Italian family located in a pizzeria. While the parents are wondering what to order for dinner, the waiter asks the child what he will order, and he immediately answers - Happy Mill. So imperceptibly the family finds themselves in a restaurant of the fast food chain.
At the end of the scandalous advertisement, according to the Italians, it is said - the children do not hesitate. Happy Mill still for 4 euros. According to the Association of True Neapolitan Pizza, the fast food chain McDonald's not only discredits Italian pizza, but also suggests that children do not like pizza and advertises unhealthy eating, sending messages to children.
The ad first appeared on YouTube on February 9 this year, after which it was broadcast on Italian television for about 1 month. So far, McDonald's only clarifies that the advertising campaign ended on April 12, as planned.
The Association of True Neapolitan Pizza is an organization opened in 1984 in Naples. Its mission is to advertise and defend in Italy and around the world the real Neapolitan pizza - a typical product prepared according to a specific criterion.
The activity of the organization is also expressed in the advertising and protection of pizzerias and products that are associated with the name real Neapolitan pizza.

There is a decrease in prices for eggs and fresh green salads after the Easter holidays, according to the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets.
