Many have heard about the healing properties of herbs, especially those found in Bulgaria. They are widely used in pharmacy and cosmetics, but there are also those that are known only to experienced herbalists who know not only when to pick them, how to dry them, but also how to use them.

These herbs are among the most valuable, because the rest you can find them in any specialty store in the form of teas or spices. A typical example of this is the herb apple, also called horse ribs or wild sage.

The former apple is not among the most common in Bulgaria and grows mainly in humid places. It can be found on river banks, along canals or in shady forests, as well as in excavations. Here's what it's important to know about it and what to use it for:

1. The apple is a perennial bare herbaceous plant that has a branched stem. It is from the legume family, which can be seen on the large clustered inflorescences. There are delicate purple colors, which in some cases can be white;

2. The usable part of the apple is the stalks. As with most plants, they should be picked at the time the apple blossoms, from June to August;

4. The apple is especially effective for people with diabetes because it lowers blood sugar. It is also used to increase breast milk;

5. The beneficial properties of apple are due to its alkaloids;

6. According to most herbalists, the apple has a diuretic property and is useful in flu and inflammation of the urinary tract;

7. If you want to make a decoction of apple, you just need to pour 2 tablespoons of the herb with 450 ml of boiling water and leave it to soak for about 3 hours. After straining it, it is good to take 100 ml of liquid 4 times a day before meals.
