Pepper, whether sweet or spicy, is a heat-loving vegetable. After sowing, its seeds germinate in 10 days at a temperature of 25 degrees. This happens between February and May. One of the main concerns for its growth is regular fertilization. The crop is harvested in July-October.

Spicy, as well as sweet peppers, are grown from seed. They are planted in pots or boxes to catch. To germinate faster, before planting the seeds are placed in warm water, 40-45 degrees, for several hours. The pots / boxes are sown to a depth of 1.5 cm. The top of the crop can be covered with glass or a jar.

The pots or boxes in which the seeds are planted must be placed in a warm and bright place, completely in the sun. When the plants sprout, the covers are removed and the plants continue to grow at room temperature.

The same is the condition for sowing outside - you need to choose a place that is lit by the sun all day. It is good for the soil to be enriched by the previous crop.

If you have decided to sow outside, there are two options - either sow the seeds directly, or transfer ready-made seedlings obtained in a pot or box.

When the plants reach 20 cm in height, their tops need to be pinched. This stimulates the branching of the stem, as this is where most fruits are formed. If they grow quickly, pegs can be placed to hold the plants.

Pepper plants are watered carefully with lukewarm water. In addition, it is good to fertilize once every two weeks, both in pots and outside. Hot peppers must be sown separately from all other crops, especially sweet peppers.

The sowing procedure is identical in the garden. 150-200 g / dca are needed for production from seedlings, and 600-800 g / dca for direct sowing.

The interesting thing about pepper is that it can be grown in winter. This is very good, because, especially hot peppers are considered one of the superfoods, and their consumption fresh in winter will give you energy. For this purpose you need a greenhouse with a greenhouse with biofuel adapted in it.
