There is hardly a culinary lover who has not heard the name of Jacques Pepin, famous in Bulgaria for his culinary show, which is broadcast on Fiesta TV. Especially useful for every housewife is his book Every day with Jacques Pepin: Quick and tasty recipes, in which really every dish is fast and tasty.

That is why here we have chosen to present you a recipe for his paella, which at first reading may seem too pretentious and complicated to perform, but in fact, if you study it well, you will find that neither the products are difficult nor the preparation. it's complicated for her. And here is Jacques Pepin's recipe itself:

Paella with chicken and seafood

Necessary products for 4 servings: 1 peeled and cut into 12 pieces Chorizo sausage, 3 tbsp. olive oil, 4 skinless chicken legs, 1 tsp. diced mushrooms, 1 tbsp chopped garlic, 1 tsp. chopped onion, 1 1/4 tsp. short-grain rice, 1 tsp. a mixture of diced capers, red pepper, green olives and garlic (in this case Jacques Pepin uses the so-called Alkaparado, which is exactly that, but very difficult to find on the Bulgarian market), 1 tsp. finely chopped tomatoes (canned tomatoes can also be used), 1/3 tsp. hot salsa, 1 1/2, tsp. saffron, 1 1/2 tsp. chicken broth, 170 g of sea shells, pre-washed under running water, 20 pcs. black mussels, 12 raw unpeeled shrimps, 1/2 tsp. frozen peas (can also be canned if you do not have frozen peas)

Method of preparation: Heat olive oil in a large pan and briefly fry the boned and sliced legs and Chorizo sausage, turning on all sides until golden. Add the mushrooms, garlic and onion and fry for another 1 minute.

Finally, add the rice, mix everything and then the vegetables, tomatoes, hot salsa, chicken broth and saffron mixed in equal parts. Stir again and salt the dish to taste.

It is the turn of the seafood, but with their addition paella do not stir, but just let it simmer with them for another 8 minutes.

The last is the peas, but it does not need more than 3 minutes. The dish is mixed and ready to serve.
