Necessary products: 120 g wholemeal corn flour, 60 g cornmeal, 30 g cornstarch, 180 ml fresh milk, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp. salt, 100 ml sunflower oil, 40 ml maple syrup, 80 g unsweetened apple puree (boiled and mashed apples)

Method of preparation: Milk is mixed with vinegar. Mix well and allow to cross. Mix the cornflour, cornmeal, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Separately, mix the oil, maple syrup and apple puree. The result is added to the dry ingredients and stirred.

Finally, pour the milk. The resulting dough should be sparse. Pour into a prepared cake tin measuring 23x10x6 cm or a suitable pan, sprinkled with baking fat or greased with oil. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Although the resulting bread has the texture of a cake, it is an alternative to classic cornbread. It can be consumed with both salty and sweet additives. If you do not want the sweet taste, just replace the maple syrup and apple puree with eggs.
