Former Queen Elizabeth II chef Darren McGrady said that when he cooked for Her Majesty and her relatives, there were several foods banned from use.

High-carbohydrate foods such as pasta, rice and potatoes were not served at the table. The chef was forbidden to add onions and garlic to the dishes because of the bad breath they left in their mouths.

Darren McGrady also told the Metro newspaper that the queen demanded that the dishes be in accordance with the season and that the fruits and vegetables typical for the period should always be present in them.

Elizabeth II liked to eat juicy steaks, keeping them well-baked, not alangle. She often ordered grilled and salad dishes.

The queen's favorite dishes necessarily included butter and cream. She also ate fruit regularly, following the etiquette and never eating with her fingers, but consuming them with a knife and fork.

The royal family strives to eat healthily and for this reason have minimized the consumption of fried and pasta foods.

Desserts are also light, and for their preparation is used mainly fruit, dark chocolate and jam.

An important feature is that much of the food in the royal court comes from its own fields and farms, which guarantee its quality.
