A new website of the Food Agency will give the right to the native consumer to submit in electronic form a signal for violations in food, which are offered to us in the supermarkets and restaurants.
The BFSA platform will be launched only in a few days and will give citizens the right to regulate the quality of the food they consume. The new site was presented by Plamen Mollov during a press conference at the National Palace of Culture
The online platform will provide users with the opportunity to exchange information in a modern mode bilaterally - from users to the agency and vice versa, explained Mollov.
From now on, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency will offer online contact with consumers. The platform will be very useful, as citizens will have the opportunity to easily and quickly share about their inspections and will provide invaluable information to the media.
Our desire is to create an environment for constant communication with citizens. It is clear that the state body cannot handle full food control on its own. However, when consumers get involved, naming the exact problems, the violations will be immediately traced, Mollov said.
A curious fact is that the new platform of the BFSA will allow consumers to make rankings for companies with good and bad practices. In this way, there will be a rating of each user and civil control will be exercised, explained the director of the BFSA.
Innovative changes will provide people who report a violation with quick feedback. When submitting a signal and subscribing to the services of the BFSA platform, the user will be given an incoming number from the system. With it, he will be able to constantly monitor what measures have been taken by the Agency's staff on the issue.
For example, if a citizen notices problems in a restaurant, he will be able to capture the violations and send the images from his mobile device directly to the BFSA website. This will definitely lead to much more work for the experts, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency is convinced.
