A man from Wales boasted the hottest pepper in the world, grown by him personally. After much effort, Mike Smith, 53, of Denbigshire, has grown a plant that amazes the world.

The little red miracle was selected with the help of specialists from the University of Nottingham. On Scoville's scale, which measures the spiciness of peppers, Smith's creation has as many as 2.4 million points. Thus, it managed to improve the record of the previous hottest pepper in the world, which collected only 1.5 million points.

As you can guess, a food with such a sharp taste cannot be consumed. Instead, its creator came up with another application of the hot plant.

According to Mike, the hottest pepper in the world can be used as a means of local anesthesia, as just one touch of the skin with it caused severe tingling.

The sensational pepper of the Welsh gardener belongs to the Dragon's Breath variety. He managed to get it after experimenting with plants for eight years.
