Zhiveniche / Scrophularia nodonosa /, also known as Scrophularia nodonosa, is a perennial herbaceous and weed plant that blooms throughout the summer. The plant has long been known as the periwinkle plant, hence its botanical name.
In the past, the stingray was used to treat purulent wounds, abscesses, scrofula. In 1635, the famous herbalist Culpeper called the herb "throatwort", which means valuable for the throat.
In the 16th and 17th centuries rye has been revered as the best medicinal herb for relieving all types of swelling and even tumors.
The living thing has a tall stem that reaches 1 meter in height. The stem is ridged, mostly reddish. The leaves of the periwinkle are opposite, the flowers have stalks.
The stamens are four in number, hidden in the corolla. The fruit is a multi-seeded box. Zhyvenicheto blooms in May-September.
The plant is found in moist shady places, along roads and forests up to 1000 meters above sea level throughout Bulgaria.
Composition of wheatgrass
As part of rye phenolic acids, saponins, cardioactive glycosides, flavonoids, alkaloids, iridoids are found.
Collection and storage of wheatgrass

It is also used internally for inflammation of the mammary glands of women.
Tinctures of the leaves of rye are taken in combination with other herbs that aid digestion in cases of intestinal laziness and constipation. Combinations with dock, black currant and burdock are suitable for skin problems.
Folk medicine with feverfew
To prepare a decoction for external use, pour 2 tsp. finely crushed herb with 1 tsp. boiling water and simmer for 30 minutes. The mixture is then filtered and compresses are prepared with the resulting decoction. In folk medicine, the plant is used in the treatment of arthritis and goiter.
For internal use: 1 tsp. finely chopped rhizome roots are boiled for about 5 minutes in 600 ml of water. The decoction is filtered and drink 50 ml 3 times daily before meals.
Harm from a plantain
Be careful, because fennel is a poisonous herb and should not be overdosed. It is forbidden for use by people with heart problems because it is a heart stimulant and can cause unwanted complications.
