Hundreds of people gathered in Varna's Asparuhovo district to be part of the longest dinner on the beach. Lovers of delicious food and quality drink sat side by side on the sand and forgot about their daily troubles.
With their initiative, the enthusiasts made a dress rehearsal for setting a new Guinness World Record, as well as an attempt to revive the former gatherings, where people share everything and have fun without prejudice.
Preparations for the huge table start before sunset. Improvised tables made of white fabric were stretched on the beach, on which wonderful Bulgarian dishes were positioned.
So friends and complete strangers sat down next to each other to share salads, fish, meat products, pies, breads, cakes, salads, cakes and many other culinary temptations. To warm up the mood, Varna residents and guests of the sea capital had brought brandy, wine, mastic, mint and beer.
Hundreds of participants in the longest dinner on the beach had an unforgettable experience, filled with lots of laughter, smiles and delicious meals. It was an evening in which phones, tablets, laptops, the Internet and social networks were left in the background.
And while the adults had a sweet talk, the younger participants also found a way to have fun without using new technology. They danced and went wild at the sound of music.
It is not yet known exactly how many people took part in the event, but it is more than clear that all participants who ate at the beach table were fascinated by the idea. They say that the dinner on the sand among so many people has had a positive effect on them and they would be happy to join such an initiative again.
The organizers of the longest dinner on the beach are also pleased with the cheerful noise. They hope that in the summer of next year a Guinness record will be set, and at the same time the table on the beach in Asparuhovo will become a tradition.
