At the beginning of the summer season, fried sprats by the sea is the most ordered appetizer. An inspection of the Monitor newspaper showed that the favorite summer appetizer of Bulgarians and foreigners will be at higher prices.

Along the coastal alleys, the price of a portion of fried sprat has jumped by an average of BGN 1.50 and is now on sale for BGN 6.50. Bulgarians say that in neighboring Greece the values are more or less the same, as a portion of small fish can be found for 3-4 euros.

A portion of fried horse mackerel is also sold at higher prices. In the restaurants in Balchik it is offered with 2 levs more than last year and if you want to eat horse mackerel, you will have to deal with between 8 and 10 levs per serving.

The most expensive fish for this summer season will remain turbot. In the pubs on the native Black Sea coast the portion is between 26 and 30 levs, with the saltiest price at the resorts.

Chernokop this year will keep its values between 10 and 12 levs per serving, but on the other hand, in most cases this type of fish is missing from the menu.

However, pub owners complain that customers rarely order it because it is Turkish or Greek.

The fish soup will remain the cheapest this year as well, which will keep last year's values of between BGN 2.50 and 4.50 per serving.
