The National Revenue Agency (NRA), the Customs Agency and the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) made an incredible blow. During a large-scale campaign, they prevented the sale of over 12,000 liters of beverages in various packages - energy, soft drinks and iced tea.
They were all well-known brands. Among the illegal goods are another 28 cans of brown sugar, 1,600 stacks of plastic cups, 500 stacks of cardboard cups, 50 bags of sugar packets, 800 packets of instant coffee and 6 stacks of dry cream.
The illegal goods were found in an unregistered site. After a search, a master box of cigarettes without excise labels was found. An act of the established violations has been drawn up for the owner. According to him, the discovery is for own consumption and is not intended for the mass market. Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted and the goods have been sealed. After submission of the documents by the owner or in their absence it will be seized and destroyed.
The room where the illegal goods were found is for rent. It is suspected that the person who hired him is trafficking in soft drinks and cigarettes. The drinks are most likely part of the so-called Parallel imports.
This is an import of original trademarked goods, produced according to the requirements of the trademark owner, but without permission to sell in the country in which they are imported and offered. Most often, this product is sold to a country other than the one in which it is sold.
