After inspections, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency seized more than 450 liters of milk, which did not have documents establishing its origin.

The milk was diverted for disposal. Along with him, another 228 kilograms of dairy products were seized - cheese, yellow cheese and cottage cheese, which also lacked information about the origin, which prohibits their distribution in the commercial network.

Violators were issued 95 acts for non-compliance with administrative norms.

Since the beginning of the intensified inspections for unregulated trade in milk and dairy products, the inspectors have carried out 525 inspections, Nova TV reports.

The inspections are carried out jointly with the bodies of the Ministry of Interior, and the intensified control will continue until the sale of unregulated dairy products is limited to a minimum.

From BFSA again call on consumers in our country to buy milk and dairy products only from regulated retail outlets. Otherwise, they put their health at risk.

A reporter's inspection recently showed that the milk sold from the trunk of a car is not stored under proper conditions and therefore the bacteria in it multiply, making it dangerous.

The signals for milk distributed in this way are becoming more frequent. In some places in the country there were even outbreaks of brucellosis due to the consumption of such dubious products, reminded by the BFSA.

The first of the cities inspected was Blagoevgrad, where food agency officials seized 70 liters of milk sold outdoors last week. Acts for BGN 150 were drawn up for the farmers-traders.

Many of the illegal producers are small farmers who sell milk and dairy products from their farm animals.

Many of them cannot afford the fees required by the BFSA regulations for their production and so it becomes illegal.
