The 13-year-old children were accommodated at the Aneli Hotel last night, and after the accommodation the 7 teenagers went out to eat.

After eating, the children from Sandanski felt sick and returned to the hotel. At around 9 pm, the 7 teenagers started vomiting and immediately sought medical help.

Elena M., Galya B., Snezhana S., Andrea G., Nikol H., Zhivko A. and Anton K. were immediately admitted to MHAT-Razlog. The group of tourists showed all the symptoms of food poisoning.

As they did not eat at the Aneli Hotel, but somewhere outside, the experts will not check the hotel kitchen.

After being examined, none of the 7 children - five girls and two boys - requested hospitalization. The teenagers have been released for home treatment, and the multidisciplinary hospital is currently refusing to comment on the case.

This is the second case of food poisoning in the town of Bansko and only for a short period of 2 weeks.

On June 1, 12 children from a Sofia school were also admitted to the infectious diseases department of the Razlog Hospital with symptoms of food poisoning.

After the inspections and samples, it was established that the children from the 145th High School were poisoned by secondarily contaminated food with staphylococci. The bacterium was found in the samples by the hotel chef, the waiter and one of the workers in the confectionery shop in Bansko, where cakes were prepared and delivered to the Peony Hotel.

The presence of the bacterium staphylococci was also found in some of the 9-year-old children from Sofia.

The third-graders from the Sofia school were admitted to Razlog Hospital with vomiting, diarrhea and fever.

10 of the children who went to Bansko for a green school stayed in the general hospital for 1 day, after which they were discharged. Two other 9-year-olds had very minor complaints, which is why they were released by doctors the same day.
