Falafels are perfect for anyone who wants to try something more exotic in the kitchen. Minced meatballs can be successfully replaced by appetizing ones falafel from chickpeas. They cook quickly, saturate quickly and have an amazing taste. In addition, there are many ways to prepare them and none of them will disappoint you. Here's how to make them:
Falafel with tahini sauce
Necessary products: 250 g chickpeas, 1 egg, 1 large onion, 2-3 cloves garlic, ½ a bunch of parsley, 2 dry slices of bread, ½ tsp. coriander, ½ k.l. cumin, 1 tsp. salt, ½ tsp baking powder, frying oil.
For the sauce: 1 tsp yogurt, 1 tbsp. sesame tahini, 1-2 cloves garlic, 1-2 tsp. lemon juice, ½ k.l. spoon of cumin.
Method of preparation: If you cook with dried chickpeas, it should be pre-soaked in water overnight. In the morning, boil for about 40-50 minutes, until the berries soften. Drain and rub thoroughly with your hands to make the flakes fall off. Rinse well with cold water.
Chickpeas, along with onions, garlic, dry bread, egg and spices are put in a blender or food processor and mashed. Add the baking powder and stir again.
From the resulting mixture are formed small meatballs, which are fried in a deeper pan with hot oil for a short time. Arrange the prepared falafels in a flat plate lined with homemade paper to drain the fat.
All sauce products are placed in the blender and understood. The falafels are served with the sauce.
Delicious falafels
Necessary products: 250 g raw chickpeas, salt, coriander, 3-4 sprigs of parsley, 1 onion, 2-3 cloves of garlic or 2-3 sprigs of fresh garlic, 1 tsp. baking powder, 2 tbsp. flour (wholemeal, standard or chickpeas), hot red pepper, 1 tsp. ground cumin, olive oil.
Method of preparation: Chickpeas are washed well and left in water for at least 12 hours. Rinse and put in a blender. Of course in large pieces so that you can feel small pieces. Chop the onion and finely chop the garlic or cut it into small pieces.
Parsley is chopped into small pieces. The products are added to chickpeas. Season with salt to taste, half a teaspoon of ground coriander and cumin. Add the flour mixed with baking powder and hot red pepper. The mixture is stirred and stored in the refrigerator for about an hour.
Falafel is formed from the resulting mixture. Arrange at a short distance from each other in a baking tray lined with paper.
Drizzle with a little olive oil and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes until you get a nice golden tan. Ready-made falafels can be served with a sauce of your choice.
