The red lentils, which until recently were not so familiar to the Bulgarian hosts, are now swirling calmly in our cuisine. In addition to having an attractive color, it is very tasty and is quick and easy to prepare. It is rich in fiber, antioxidants, folic acid, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium, which ranks it among the healthiest foods. In addition, it quickly creates a feeling of satiety, with which you can prevent yourself from being trampled and gaining extra pounds.

Necessary products: 400 g ripe beans, 400 g red lentils, 100 g butter, 200 ml milk, 2 tablespoons flour, 2 beaten eggs, salt and pepper to taste, a few sprigs of parsley
Method of preparation: The beans and lentils are cooked in separate containers, as the lentils will take much less time. Mix, puree and add the milk, butter and flour to the resulting mixture. Boil everything until it thickens, add the eggs, salt and pepper. The puree prepared in this way is served warm, sprinkled with finely chopped parsley.
Red lentil salad
Necessary products: 500 g Red lentil, 5 pickles, 1 roasted red pepper, 1 red onion, 150 g bacon, olive oil, vinegar, salt and parsley to taste
Method of preparation: Boil the lentils, being careful not to overcook. Allow to cool, place in a bowl and add the remaining diced products and spices to taste.
Red lentil cream soup
Necessary products: 500 g red lentils, 1 carrot, 1 onion, 2 cloves garlic, 200 ml liquid cream, salt to taste, a few sprigs of fresh mint
Method of preparation: Boil the lentils together with the finely chopped onions, carrots and garlic. Everything is passed through a sieve and the cream is added to the mixture thus obtained. Stir and serve the finished soup sprinkled with finely chopped mint.
