Pour 100 grams of pistachios and all almonds with boiling water and leave for five minutes to soak. Then mash them. Pour the milk into a saucepan, add the mashed nuts and powdered sugar.
Bring to the boil, stirring constantly. Continue stirring and add the starch, pre-mixed with milk. Add 4 beaten eggs. Cook until the mixture thickens like a cream.
Distribute in bowls and cool. Sprinkle with the remaining pistachios, which you pound in a mortar. Serve the dessert cold.
Turkish syrup cake is also easy to make. You need 4 eggs, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of cocoa, 1 teaspoon of milk, 1 teaspoon of oil, 1 teaspoon of flour, 1 baking powder, 1 vanilla, 1 teaspoon of cherry syrup.
Mix the eggs, sugar, cocoa, milk and butter. Set aside 1 tea cup of the mixture. In the remaining mixture, add the flour, baking powder and vanilla and mix.
Pour the dough into a greased and floured pan. Bake for 50 minutes in a preheated 180 degree oven. Once the cake is baked, turn off the oven.
Pour the cake with cherry syrup, wait 3 minutes, and pour the cake with the egg mixture that you separated at the beginning. Return the cake to the oven and let it bake in the switched off oven.
