- 200 g of rice;
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste;
- a little oil for frying.
Method of preparation:
1. Put all the cabbage leaves for a few minutes in boiling water, then let them cool;
2. Boil the rice, adding a little salt to the water beforehand;
3. Cut the tomatoes, celery and onion into small cubes and grate the carrots on a fine grater;
4. Fry all the vegetables and add the tomato puree;
5. Put the stuffing in each cabbage leaf and wrap it well;
6. Put the prepared sarma in a deep saucepan, and on top spread them with a little more tomato paste and pour water over them, leaving them to simmer for 20-30 minutes.
Lean sarma with potatoes
Necessary products:
- 8-10 cabbage leaves;
- 3-4 medium potatoes;
- 1 onion;
- vegetable oil for frying;
- salt;
- coriander, - dill - optional.
Method of preparation:
1. Soak the cabbage leaves for a few minutes in boiling water to relax, they should be completely immersed;
2. Then let them cool;
3. Grate the raw potatoes on a fine grater;
4. Cut the onion into small cubes and fry it;
5. Add the fried onions to the potatoes, then season the stuffing with the sauerkraut;
6. Start winding carefully vegetarian sarma, then fry them a little until golden;
7. Put them in a saucepan and add a little water, then let them simmer for about 30 minutes.
