When we mention the concept stuffed carp, we usually make 2 mistakes. First, we immediately think about whether St. Nicholas Day is approaching, and then the image of the classic stuffed carp, most often with rice and spices, pops into our heads.

In both cases, we can be wrong, because it is not necessary at all on St. Nicholas Day to cook this fish, nor does anyone oblige us to follow the traditions and be sure to fill the carp with rice.

Let's diversify the folk table a bit and improvise with another kind of stuffing, from which we also get extremely delicious stuffed carp. And whether you will wait until St. Nicholas Day to prepare it is your personal choice.

1. Stuffed carp with cheese

The combination of fish and cheese may seem ridiculous to you, but this one stuffing for carp is very well known to all fishermen, because it is the cheese that would remove toxins from carp - a fish that grows mainly in muddy waters. You can add walnuts, a few sliced olives and spices such as dill and parsley to the cheese.

2. Stuffed carp with vegetables

You may be familiar with this recipe, but since it turns out to be an extremely tasty fish dish, there is no way to save it.

In a pan fry 1 finely chopped carrot and about 3-4 finely chopped onions. When the vegetables soften, add a handful of ground walnuts and a handful of raisins. Season with salt and pepper and fill the carp with this stuffing. Bon appetit with this wonderful idea for stuffing carp!

3. Stuffed carp with canned beans

Do you find it strange to combine fish and beans? Remember what our favorite Ropotamo cans consist of? Yes, it is fish and beans.

For this recipe, in addition to canned beans, you will need 1-2 leeks, 1 carrot and 1-2 dried peppers. Grate or finely chop the carrots and together with the finely chopped leeks and peppers, let them fry in a little oil, then stew them.

When the vegetables soften, add the canned beans to them, season to taste and fill the carp with this mixture.

Due to the presence of dried peppers and leeks in the recipe, it is assumed that the carp will be prepared in the fall or winter, but it does not need to be exactly on December 6 (St. Nicholas Day).
