The State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets also reports a serious jump in the prices of tomatoes and cucumbers. For the last week a kilogram of wholesale tomatoes has reached BGN 1.63, and a kilogram of cucumbers is already selling for BGN 2.33.
Apples and lemons also rose in price by 7.2% and 2.3%, respectively. A kilogram of apples is sold wholesale for BGN 1.48, and a kilogram of lemons - for BGN 2.22.
However, oranges, whose kilogram is traded for BGN 1.24 per kilogram, and carrots, whose price has dropped to BGN 0.74 per kilogram, are cheaper.
