Isomalt is a product, obtained entirely by two-stage extraction of sugar from beets. It looks and tastes just like sugar. The amounts used in the recipes are the same as those of the sugar. However, its advantages over it and other products are not to be underestimated.

However, to use isomalt, you must first find it. It is most often sold in specialized organic stores. There, it is offered hardened, so before use it must be melted in a microwave oven.

In this form isomalt is used mostly for making beautiful decorations. In addition, it can be found in several colors - white, purple, green and others. Isomalt is also used to make various sugar figurines and various decorations for cakes and pastries.

When you get isomalt, it is in granules. To it is added about 10% of the total mass of water in which they must be dissolved. The resulting liquid consistency is wonderful for making decorations from drawn sugar.

It can also be used in combination with silicone molds. And the best part is that all the residual isomalt products can be reused - they just need to be melted and shaped.

In industrial production, isomalt is mainly used for making jelly products, chewing gum, soft and hard candies, confectionery, ice cream, chocolate and many others. He is known as E953. It is increasingly preferred over other products because it provides the necessary structure and sweetness.

It is also harmless to humans. Sweets, in which synthetic products are used, stick to the hands and teeth and become soft with increasing temperature. Isomalt products they do not have such manifestations, mainly because the melting point of isomalt is 145 degrees.
