Cult chef Jamie Oliver has condemned fast food giant McDonald's. Oliver was able to prove that ammonium hydroxide (E527) was added to the minced meat from which the meatballs were made in the chain. The process is called the "pink slime process".

Such meat has been declared unfit for consumption.

In a visual demonstration, Jamie shows how to prepare meat for a chicken burger: from the skin, fat and internal organs of the chicken. This is also shown to a group of children who say they are already "disgusted" by the popular burger.

Some time ago, Oliver campaigned for healthy eating at school. After proving that children can eat healthily in school cafeterias, the British government has allocated 280 million pounds to the project.

The famous chef owns the Fifteen restaurant, where children in financial difficulties with criminal records or dyslexia are trained free of charge and have the opportunity to develop their culinary skills.

Because of his many causes, BBC viewers named Jamie Oliver "The Most Inspiring Political Figure of 2005".

Regarding the court decision - McDonald's announced that they will change their recipes, but deny that this is related to Oliver's campaign.

Recently, the Macedonian daily Dnevnik reported the closure of all fast food restaurants in Macedonia. According to the company, this is due to a revoked license.

The company's official website confirms that the food they offer has been inspected by the Food and Drug Administration and that their decision to stop treating meat with ammonium hydroxide dates back to August 2011.
