For two months now, the first supermarket has been operating in the Swedish city of Viken, where there is not a single cashier and every customer, in addition to shopping alone, can also pay their own bill. All you need is a smartphone and bank card app.

The store is open 24 hours a day and offers all kinds of basic necessities - bread, milk, sugar, canned food, alcohol, cigarettes and diapers.

The idea for the first supermarket of its kind came from IT specialist Robert Ilyason, who from his own experience felt the need for a 24-hour store in the Swedish town.

Ilyason once had to buy a package of baby food and drove about 20 minutes to get to the first 24-hour store.

The population of the city of Viken is about 4000 people, which makes the business venture successful. Other small towns in Sweden have also shown interest in the idea.

Through the online application, customers can mark the products they buy and pay with their debit or credit card. At the end of each month, the store sends invoices to their customers with all purchases.

There are 6 cameras installed in the site and for the first two months of the opening the owner has not had any problems with unscrupulous customers. Only Robert Ilyason loads the necessary products on the store shelves.

He is also considering a second shopping method, as his older customers have difficulty using the mobile app.

For two years now, a cafe in the city of Valley City, North Dakota has been operating successfully without a single employee. Customers can buy coffee and pastries and pay by card or check.

Coffee owners David Breke and his wife Kimberly say they have no problem paying, as each customer conscientiously leaves the money for what he has consumed.
