The latest study on beer consumption in the world again put the Czechs in first place. For another year in the Czech Republic she drank the most of the amber liquid.
One inhabitant in the country has an average of 156 liters of beer per year. An annual beer festival is held in the Czech Republic, which lasts for 17 days, and visitors can try 120 different types of beer.
At the festival beer is paid with a special coin - tolar. The Czech Republic is also the first country in the world to open a museum dedicated to the sparkling liquid.
The second position on beer consumption is occupied by the Irish. In one year, the country drank an average of 131.1 liters of beer per person.
The original brewery of the most famous Irish beer Guinness has a lease for the property for the next 9,000 years with a fixed price of 45 Irish pounds per year, reports CNBC.
In third place is the homeland of beer - Germany. Despite the annual Oktoberfest, which consumes huge amounts of beer every year, the Germans are not at the forefront.
In one year, 115.8 liters of beer per person in the country. Although they are not in the first place now, this autumn the Germans will again attack the leading position with the next Oktoberfest, which will traditionally start on October 17.
According to the study, Australia remained in fourth and fifth place - with 109.9 liters of beer, and Austria - with 108.3 liters of beer per person. The top ten is completed by Great Britain, Belgium, Denmark, Finland and Luxembourg.
The data in our country show that although Bulgarians are increasing the consumption of beer, we remain far from the leaders in the ranking. There are 70 liters of beer per capita per year in Bulgaria.
With these data, we rank 13th in Europe among beer drinkers.
According to the mass Bulgarian taste, the best beer has a 4.5% alcohol content. Men drink 2-3 times more beer than women. Ladies buy beer 4-5 times a month, while the stronger sex - 10-15 times.

Bulgarians share 14th place with Belgians in beer consumption per capita in Europe. The survey was prepared by the Brewers of Europe, and the leaders in the beer exam are the Czechs.
