Italian style and class are always evident. Most of the inhabitants of Botusha seem to have an innate sense of aesthetics in all variants, where it can find application and reflection.
Italian manners are proverbial when it comes to eating. Sitting at the table is accompanied by all the sophistication of a valuable ritual, inherited as if for centuries. Italians are passionate about the strict and perfect order of the table. However, this does not mean unnecessary pedantry, but rather respect and pleasure for the hostess herself.
Let's follow the table seating ceremony in Italy, starting with the smallest (though important) detail at some lunch or dinner, namely the water. For some special occasions, a plastic water bottle should never be placed on the table, and paper napkins are also extremely unsuitable. The water is best served in a glass, unpretentious jug.
Italian food etiquette specialist Nicola Santini advises ordering the plates on the table to start from the tray under them. It should not be removed throughout the dinner and should not be moved at all during the meal. Place the flatter plate on top of it, and then the deeper one.
The knife is placed on the right side of the plates, which must be turned with the blade towards them. Next to it lies the spoon. A maximum of two forks are arranged to the left of the plates, depending on the menu.
Also here is placed a napkin folded into a triangle or rectangle, as charming forms of decoration are not welcome. The dessert knife and spoon should point with their heads to the right, placing them above the top of the plates.
Following the strict Italian label on the table, you should not bypass one basic rule - what is eaten is on the left, and what is drunk is on the right.
Another important point is when using the utensils - no matter how they are, you should always start from the outside. An interesting habit in Italy is that when drinking wine, always wipe your mouth before and after each sip.
