Czech scientists have chosen the name MANA for their alternative food because it is similar to the heavenly gift of the Bible.

Its creators say that it does not contain cholesterol, saturated fatty acids, toxins or carcinogens. Avant-garde food is available in powder form, which must be dissolved in water to be consumed.

Its color is beige and has no taste. Flavors can be added to it if desired.

MANA is a cheap and economical alternative to the food we know so far.

Superfoods can also be used to control calorie intake. By consuming MANA, people who want to lose weight or gain muscle mass will find it much easier to switch to a gluten- or lactose-free diet.

A study by nutrition experts earlier this year showed that some superfoods, such as goji berry, should be used with caution because their consumption is not entirely harmless.

In some cases, even superfoods can do more harm than good.

Foods such as goji berry, quinoa and kale can lead to thyroid problems and even exacerbation of arthritis, says specialist Petronella Revinshire.

According to the expert, the consumption of raw kale interferes with the normal functioning of the thyroid gland.

Regular consumption of the praised quinoa can overload the intestines and irritate them.

The chemical composition of goji berry has also been shown to increase the risk of developing permeable bowel syndrome.

Last year, researchers found that 61% of people bought certain products simply because they were labeled superfoods. The British Dietetic Organization immediately took a stand on the issue, saying that these foods are not completely safe.

Consume goji berries with caution - especially if you have arthritis. It is better to replace them with ordinary blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and blackberries, which are rich in antioxidants and are tastier - reads the official opinion of British experts.
