Do not buy corn from traders who carry it in pots on the beach, advises the director of Food Control at the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency - Raina Ivanova.

If you like boiled corn while you are on the beach, it is advisable to buy it from the carts that offer it near the beach, says the expert.

Trolleys with boiled corn are a registered commercial object and are subject to control, while the sellers of ice cream and boiled corn on the beach are not and the BFSA cannot assure you how safe their products are for consumption.

At the moment, inspectors of the Food Agency continue with the inspections in the hotels, restaurants and places on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

No significant violations were found, Ivanova added to Darik. The inspections will continue until September 9, when the active summer season in our country ends.

After the inspections in Burgas, about 300 kilograms of fruits and vegetables were withdrawn from the trade network, which were diverted for destruction.

The inspection found that the vegetables were of unknown origin, and the sellers were without the obligatory health books. Two acts of violations were drawn up for the trader.

The illegally offered fruits and vegetables were sold in the Pobeda district of Burgas, and this is the second action of the BFSA in the neighborhood, conducted jointly with the police.

We cannot check them on our own, there must always be police with us, because these are unregulated sites. This is not a company, it is not an object that is registered with us to enter and check it.

They do not have any regulation of their activity, the director of BFSA-Burgas Georgi Mitev told FOCUS.
