Native wines have become a real hit among foreigners. Drinks made from ruby, pamid and mavrud grapes are highly valued abroad. Slowly, but surely, the native elixirs are consolidating their positions not only in European markets, but also in Asian ones.

Among the most ardent fans of Bulgarian wines are the Dutch, English and Danes. This became clear from a statement by the secretary of the Association of Bulgarian Wine Producers Rositsa Kasabova.

Ms. Kasabova revealed to DariknewsBg that the native ruinous drinks attract a lot of Chinese attention, despite the fact that they have a habit of consuming table and light drinks of a lower class.

She also explained that the branch has intensified agro-technical measures due to the problems with the lush vegetation, as well as due to the various diseases that have been attacking the massifs lately.

Kassabova also commented on the issue of illegal wine production. She is of the opinion that the state should take more serious measures against the gray sector in wine production.

The owners of the cellars, for their part, expressed the opinion that there is nothing wrong with producing homemade food, as long as it is intended solely for personal use.

If a person wants to trade in wine, he must register, they were adamant.

Specialists in the industry also raised the issue of the price of the native elixir. According to them, it is not very easy to find quality Bulgarian wine worth less than 6-8 levs per bottle.

They also reminded that the price of the goods includes not only the drink, but also the cost of the bottle, label, stopper, taxes, staff salaries and more.
