A Chinese restaurant kept customers coming back to the restaurant because it put opium in their spaghetti. The fraud was discovered by accident.
One of the restaurant's regular customers, 26-year-old Liu Ju, underwent a routine urine test when it was proven that the young man was using drugs.
Liu Ju underwent no test at the insistence of his relatives, who had noticed his atypical behavior for some time. Ju's family was convinced that he was using drugs, but he himself claimed that this was not the case.
Surprisingly, however, tests have clearly shown that the young Chinese regularly takes drugs. He was therefore placed under the law and sentenced to 15 days in prison.
The presence of drugs was also found in Liu Ju's blood.
However, Liu Ju continued to claim that he did not use drugs and accidentally mentioned that he regularly visited a restaurant in China.
Law enforcement officers suspected the restaurant of illegal activity and immediately inspected it. Their guess turned out to be correct, as the owner put opium based on poppy seeds in his clients' spaghetti.
Once tasted by opium, people wanted to visit the place again and order the same spaghetti. In this way, the restaurateur's business flourished and he accumulated money.
The owner admitted to investigators that he had invested approximately $ 100 for the two kilograms of poppy seeds from which opium was prepared.
The substance was applied to the spaghetti and made the customers dependent, so they became regular visitors to the restaurant. Experts confirm that food with opium can really be addictive.
Although the restaurant was found guilty, police did not drop the charges against Liu, but told him they had to prosecute both drug dealers and drug users.
For this, the Chinese are obliged to serve their sentence under the law, which is 15 days in prison without bail.
