Dr. Georgi Gaydurkov is one of the most popular nutritionists and nutritionists in Bulgaria. The specialist has repeatedly commented on the impact of various foods on human health. But what is Gaydurkov's opinion about eggs?

The expert does not deny the significant role of the egg in a complete human diet. According to him, there is no school of nutrition that does not recognize how important the egg is for humans. This, of course, is no accident. Everyone knows that the egg is a source of essential human nutrients in an unexpectedly synergistic and balanced form, with a digestibility of up to 97%.

The most useful part of the egg, however, is the yolk. According to the doctor, eating this "golden ball", we can be sure that we have mastered everything we need.

Even if our diet is not very balanced, consuming egg yolk, we get everything we needed, the doctor is categorical.

According to Dr. Gaydurkov, the yolk is important because it increases good cholesterol and supports processes in our body. The doctor is also of the opinion that the statement that the egg contains too many calories should not be taken into account at all, not only because nowadays no attention is paid to calories, but also because it has only 71 kilocalories.

However, the positive qualities listed so far apply only to raw egg yolk. According to the nutritionist, when an egg undergoes heat treatment, its negative qualities become more.

Cooked eggs increase bad cholesterol, promote short-term vascular sclerosis and cause other health problems. Hence the delusion that eggs are harmful to our health, explains Dr. Gaydurkov.

According to the expert, raw egg yolks are among the most ancient complementary foods for humans. Everyone must decide for themselves how many to eat. Usually active athletes take 5 egg yolks a day, and other people - several pieces a week.

It is clear, however, that raw egg yolks are not to everyone's taste. That is why Dr. Gaydurkov recommends that if we really want to eat an egg that has undergone heat treatment, it should at least be soft and not hard-boiled, as we are used to.
