Lemon juice or vinegar is added to the decoction. Okra is almost tasteless, so it goes well with other vegetables and meat.

Delicious dishes are obtained by combining okra with peppers and tomatoes, with beef, pork, lamb and fish. Okra goes well with curry, chili, cumin, garlic, basil.

You can surprise your loved ones with Egyptian okra. You will need 700 grams of okra, one onion, six tomatoes, ten cloves of garlic, five tablespoons of oil, half a kilo of minced meat, a quarter liter of broth, three tablespoons of yogurt, three tablespoons of cream, one lemon, white pepper and salt.

Wash and lightly dry the okra. Peel an onion and chop finely, peel the tomatoes and chop them finely. Mash the garlic.

Fry the okra in half the oil for five minutes and let the okra drain from the fat on the grill. Fry the tomatoes and onions in the remaining oil. Add the minced meat and fry until golden.

Drizzle with warm broth, add garlic and salt and simmer until almost all the liquid has evaporated. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Add the yogurt, cream and white pepper to the minced meat.

Grease a pan and spread half of the minced meat in it. Spread the okra on it and cover again with minced meat. Bake for an hour. Garnish with lemon slices and serve.
