For many years, the use of sugar and the introduction of glucose into the body was considered an effective remedy for various diseases of the cardiovascular system, as well as the nervous and digestive systems.

Recently, however, more and more scientists believe that this product should be used as little as possible. In adulthood, sugar can lead to an increase in harmful cholesterol in the blood and contribute to disorganization in cell function.

The most common accusation against sugar is that it contains nothing but pure calories - no vitamins, no trace elements, no fiber. However, we need it because of its energy and sweet taste.

Sugar entered the history of mankind only a few centuries ago, after the culture of sugar cane became widespread, after which the delicacy quickly became a product for everyday use.

When our souls are heavy, in moments of depression or after experiencing stress, our hand reaches for the sweet. In reality, however, the habit of sweetening our lives in this way only worsens the unpleasant situation.

The rise in blood sugar is a natural reaction of our body to stress, it is a signal to mobilize forces. With a sedentary lifestyle and high consumption of sugar, its level in the blood is constantly high.

This makes the body feel as if it is under constant stress. Sugar is an addictive product, almost like a drug, and giving it up is associated with discomfort. It causes nervousness, irritability and even headaches.

According to the impact on our body, sugar can be compared to a drug, experts say. It gives us a sharp surge of energy, followed by a drop - until we recharge with the next dose of jam.

The effect of sugar on the brain is comparable to that of opiates - sweet treats cause a feeling of happiness, which, however, lasts a short time. After that there is a sharp drop in mood, which lasts for hours.

Gradually you need to learn not to be addicted to sweets. Instead of chocolate, eat a handful of strawberries or dried fruits - they contain fructose and just as sweet, but much more useful.
