In less than 3 hours, an unprecedentedly large cup of cappuccino was filled in the center of the Croatian capital. For this purpose, 22 coffee machines were installed on the square, which worked tirelessly while filling the giant cup, which holds the impressive 2012 aromatic coffee.
In this way, Croatia set a new Guinness Book record by making the largest cappuccino in the world. More than 1,000 specialists in making fragrant cappuccino from all over Croatia embarked on a professional feat, as a result of which they managed to fill a huge cup with the caffeinated beverage.
Traditionally, cappuccino contains three equal parts of espresso, milk and milk foam. We remind you that in 2009 80 ambitious baristas from Prague managed to produce 2117 liters of cappuccino. However, the achievement from Zagreb is officially recognized and certified, because this category is new to the Guinness Book.
Guinness spokesman Seida Subassi said: "This category is new to the Guinness Book of Records. Whenever a record is set, it is mandatory to have a minimum requirement for its conquest. In the case of the largest cappuccino, the condition was a minimum of 1,500 liters."
A huge crowd of curious and enthusiastic people gathered on the central square in Zagreb for the merry whim of the Croats. The whole procedure of filling the record glass took place in front of the spectators, who had the opportunity to observe what was happening step by step.
The record for the largest cappuccino in the world came on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the founding of a large Austrian coffee company, which was also a sponsor of the spectacular event.
