Making homemade cookies can be a fun and easy culinary adventure, in which the little helpers - the children - will be involved. Here are some recipes that will appeal to everyone and do not require much time or special skills.

The biscuits from the following recipe are traditionally American, crumbly, buttery and most importantly: easy to prepare with the few products that are included in it.

Butter cookies

Necessary products: 250 g of flour, pre-sifted, 50 g of butter, 20 g of St. John's wort, 160-180 ml. milk, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1 tbsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. sol.

Preparation: Mix the flour, which has been sifted at least once, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl and mix well. Separate a pile of butter - about 50 g, and a little butter, and add them to the mixture, continuing to stir until the texture acquires the appearance of bread crumbs. Do not over-mix and mix the butter with the flour.

Then slowly add the milk and stir until you notice that the mixture has formed and is ready for kneading. Take the dough out on a floured surface and start kneading it to form a homogeneous ball. Let it rest for 5 minutes. Then knead it again with light movements for about 10 minutes.

Flatten the dough with your palms, then roll it into a roll. From it, cut, according to your preferences, equal-sized pieces with a sharp knife or a special dough knife that you have previously floured. You need to carefully cut the pieces so that the biscuit has a smooth surface at the end.

When finished, arrange the biscuits in a prepared tray on baking paper. Bake at about 220 degrees in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until browned.

Once baked, serve warm. A suitable addition to them is the butter, which will melt slightly on the surface of the biscuit. They can also be served with strawberry jam or honey.

Cocoa cookies with chocolate filling

Necessary products: 140 g butter, 140 g powdered sugar, 2 egg yolks, 260 g sifted flour, 30 g cocoa powder, a few small blocks-pieces of milk or white chocolate.

Preparation: Grease a large sheet of baking paper. Beat the butter and sugar into a cream in a bowl. Add the previously beaten egg yolks to the mixture. Then mix the flour and cocoa powder. Form a dough to mix for a few minutes. Wrap it in plastic wrap and leave it in the fridge for a while.

Preheat oven to 190 degrees. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the cooled dough to the thickness you prefer. Then cut with a glass equal circles of it. Spread them in a tray on a greased sheet of paper and add a small piece of chocolate in the middle of each biscuit, making sure it sinks enough so that it is wrapped in dough.

The cookies are baked for about 10 minutes. Serve still warm with melted chocolate on top.

Vanilla-flavored butter cookies with chocolate glaze

Necessary products: 370 g flour, ½ teaspoon salt, 250 g butter, 125 g brown sugar powder, 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 100 g dark or milk chocolate, preferably, broken to pieces.

Preparation: Sift the flour together with the salt in a suitable container and set it aside. Mix the butter and sugar in a large bowl, stirring them with a wooden spoon or beating them with a mixer until a homogeneous and fluffy mixture is obtained.

Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract to it and mix all the ingredients well. Then pour them over the flour. After forming the dough, knead your hands, take it out of the bowl and wrap it in a plastic sheet.

Then leave it for about an hour to cool in the refrigerator. This type of dough can be very difficult to process, especially in a warm kitchen or if you make biscuits during the summer season. It can stay in the refrigerator for up to several days.

When you take the dough out of the fridge, start processing it immediately. Roll it up to 3 mm. thickness on floured board. Use a lot of flour because the dough is sticky. You can try rolling it between two plastic sheets for convenience.

Then cut small biscuits out of it in your preferred shape and arrange them in a tray on baking paper.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 12 minutes until golden brown.

Remove the biscuits from the oven and wait for them to cool. Once they harden slightly, you can serve them. To garnish them, you need to melt the chocolate in a water bath. Once it has cooled slightly, sprinkle it on the surface of each biscuit, drawing lines with the desired thickness and direction.
