As most people know, pizza is an Italian national dish loved all over the world. It is a flat rounded bread baked in an oven. However, there are many subtleties in making pizza that only true Italians can reveal to you. That is why the Pizza Village initiative is organized in Naples, where everyone can know all the intricacies needed to make the perfect pizza.

Until Sunday, Neapolitans and guests of the remarkable city will be able to taste the iconic Italian dish created by pizzaioli pizza specialists. In addition, there will be courses for pizza lovers, led by the best local chefs.

This will be the fourth edition of the festival. Fifty pizzerias from all over the world, 170 pizzerias and a dozen chefs will take part in it. The event is organized by the Association of Neapolitan Pizza Specialists. Nearly half a million people are expected to take an interest in the culinary festival.

During the initiative, a competition was held for the best pizza specialist. This year's race was won by a 28-year-old Neapolitan. In the previous two editions of the festival, the greatest pizza masters turned out to be Japanese and Chinese.

Pizza is a trademark of Naples. The pizzerias there open at noon from 12:00 to 15:00. Then they close for a break and work again after 18.00. The pizza they offer in these restaurants cannot be found anywhere else.

When they serve it to you, you will probably think that it is so huge that you would not be able to finish it. However, this is only apparent, as the dough is extremely thin, and the products that are placed on it are only selected.

Pizza Margarita is a classic Neapolitan pizza. There are various legends about the creation of her recipe. One of them states that the chef at the Brandi pizzeria created it in honor of the Italian Queen Margarita of Savoy. Whether this is so we can not know. But one thing is for sure, once you try the pizza in Naples, no other will taste so good to you.
