You can dry the apples both in the oven and in the sun. If you are going to dry in the oven, preheat it to 80-85 degrees.
Monitor the fruit regularly and when they lose a lot of water and visibly reduce their volume, lower the temperature to 45-50 degrees. Note that drying should not take more than 5 hours.
You can dry both in the sun and in the shade. At some distance from the fruit you can stretch cheesecloth to protect them from insects. If you dry in the sun, the process lasts about 10 days when in a shady place - it takes several weeks.
