The prices of some foods in our country have recently hit record ceilings. After the unprecedented rise in eggs, it became clear that basic foods such as bread and oil would be more expensive.
There will be a jump in the price of bread by over 10%, because there is an increase in the values of basic raw materials and fuels. Along with this, an increase in the price of electricity is forthcoming, explained the President of the Federation of Bakers and Confectioners Mariana Kukusheva.
The increase in the price of wheat is due to the increase in the costs for fertilizers and tillage by an average of about 20%, the grain producers complained. Kukusheva is adamant that bread will soon rise in price by more than 10 per 100.
Currently, the average price of grain is about 350-360 levs per ton. With such increased production costs, the price of grain should probably increase to about BGN 400 per ton, said Radoslav Hristov, deputy chairman of the National Association of Grain Producers.
He added that a difficult year is expected for grain producers and the forecast is for lower wheat production by about 20%. The reason is due to frost in winter and drought in autumn.
At the same time, it became clear that the increase in the prices of basic raw materials, fuels and electricity could not but affect the formation of the price of oil.
Sunflower oil will soon shine on the shelves with a significantly higher price, but the industry is not yet engaged in accurate calculations of how much its price will rise in our country.
As the raw material for oil becomes more expensive, its price in our country depends on the value of foreign markets. Currently, the price of sunflower is in the range of BGN 760-800 per ton, explained the chairman of the Association of Producers of Vegetable Oils and Oil Products in Bulgaria Yani Yanev.
He added that farmers, the owners of the goods have every right to wait for higher prices.

How To Store Olive Oil And Vegetable Oil
The oil is stored quite a long time thanks to its factory packaging. It is sold with a tightly closed lid and thanks to this it can retain its qualities for two years. Oil bottles should be stored in a cool dark place. It is better to store oil that is sealed in glass rather than plastic bottles.
Prices Of Cherries And Apricots Are Jumping Because Of The Rains
Bulgarian producers said that torrential rains this year destroyed much of the apricot and cherry crop, and the surviving fruit trees were treated with preparations. In order to enter the market, a large part of the Bulgarian cherries and apricots have undergone processing, which will require an increase in their prices.
Wheat Has Fallen In Price At A Record Price, Bread Is At The Old Prices
On the Sofia Commodity Exchange, the price per ton of wheat fell from BGN 330 to BGN 270 without VAT. However, the prices of bread remain unchanged and the most popular Dobrogea is still sold for BGN 1 in the retail network. However, the industry says that in larger cities there is a slight reduction in the price of bread.
Pork Prices Fell And Bean Prices Jumped
Data from the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets show that wholesale food prices are 6 percent lower than in January last year. In December 2013 there was a sharp jump in food prices by 8.5%, but in early January, this difference was stabilized.
Mass Bread Remains At The Old Prices, Even If The Price Of Electricity Increases
The price of bread will not rise, even if the planned increase in the price of electricity takes place, assures Mariana Kukusheva from the National Branch Union of Bakers and Confectioners. The low beach capacity of the majority of Bulgarians, as well as the unfair competition from the gray sector, are the two main reasons why the values of bread and bakery products will not change.
