If you, like most people, think that fruits and vegetables are useful only when they are fresh, then it is probably high time we revealed to you why and how frozen ones can enjoy a much greater advantage in your kitchen..

It will certainly be much more convenient for you to prepare different products for the freezer when you have more free time, and to use them at the right time, without delay to clean, peel, cut and scrape. The only important thing is to get hermetically sealed bags that will not allow the food to spoil or lose its valuable qualities and tastes.

One of the most common reasons why we store fruits and vegetables in a frozen state is their seasonality. It is much better when you feel like eating strawberries in the winter, to eat real strawberries, which you may even have grown yourself in your garden in the summer and frozen for later, instead of looking for artificial ones in large chain stores.

The same goes for all kinds of fruits and vegetables that I know grow in a given season.

For certain recipes we sometimes use fruits or vegetables that are not grown in our country or the surrounding ones and had to be imported from afar. Do not look at shiny imported goods full of chemicals in order to last longer, but bet on the frozen ones. They are also imported, but because they are not fresh, they do not need anything other than a freezer during transportation, which, in turn, increases the chances that such products do not contain toxic artificial impurities.

We often buy large quantities of carrots with the idea of eating healthier and emphasizing salads, and in the end we still fail to eat them all because we often eat out or at work. Instead of throwing them away, learn to plan better. The freezing process locks the beta-carotene and antioxidants in carrots, so that in addition to remaining suitable for long-term storage and use, they are just as useful as freshly picked ones.

When you decide to use spinach as a sauce in stews or soups, and find that you rarely have fresh spinach in your refrigerator, as it is not among the most commonly bought and used vegetables - a packet of freezer will be your best helper.

Peas, green beans and corn can be the perfect addition to your main dishes, as well as to salads and appetizers with which you greet your guests. Get a few packages in the freezer and in just ten minutes of steaming you will have vegetables that you have to process raw for at least an hour.

If you plan properly, not only can you have a large selection of real fruits and vegetables on hand, but they will be washed, cleaned and prepared for the moments when you will need them. Use the freezer smartly!
