World-renowned chocolate maker Cadbury has created a special chocolate for Queen Elizabeth II of England.

The sugar temptation is wrapped in gold foil. On its red packaging shines the royal coat of arms and the inscription "Designed for Her Majesty the Queen".

The recipe for royal chocolate is kept secret by the manufacturers.

Cadbury makes three or four batches of chocolates a year and sends them to Buckingham Palace, Windsor and Sandringham before Christmas.

"We make dark chocolate for the Queen, which is not for sale. We supply chocolate to the Victorian royal family, but we cannot reveal the recipe," said Cadbury spokesman Tony Blissborough.

Cadbury is one of the largest chocolate companies in the world. It was founded in 1824 by John Cadbury.

He established his chocolate empire in Birmingham, where his clients became the most famous and wealthy families in the city.

Only they could afford his chocolates, which were quite expensive.

Initially, Cadbury made its chocolate products only from cocoa beans. Later he started adding sugar.

Cadbury received his first royal charter for the production of cocoa and chocolate for Queen Victoria in 1854. In 1969, the chocolate empire merged with the German Schweps. She is still known as Cadbury Schweps.
