Inspectors from the Food Safety Agency report that inspections have found that pâtés on the domestic market are rich in claws, tails, tendons and ears.
However, none of these ingredients are written on the labels of the different types of pâtés. Dangerous animal skins and offal were also found in some of the delicacies.
Inspectors from the Agency are adamant that the strange composition of the pâtés should be written down and not sold as products from pork, poultry, pork, duck, chicken, and even goose liver, because in this way they mislead consumers.
Western markets warn that there are many carcinogenic additives, fats and water in the Balkan pâtés above the permissible values.
The pâtés from the native production contain the so-called hidden fats, because about 40% of their total amount is lard and skin.
Experts say that the various supplements are only for fraud.
Laboratories warn that processed meat contains an increased amount of polyphosphates and sodium nitrate as an emulsifier, which cause cancer and destroy calcium in the bones. They are especially dangerous for children and pregnant women.
In addition to waste from slaughterhouses, glutamate is often found in native pâtés, which interferes with the normal functioning of the brain and leads to frequent mood swings.
Sodium nitrite, which is a dangerous substance, has also been found in pâtés, but most manufacturers use it to give their products the taste they need.
Sodium nitrite can lead to the development of cancer cells in the human body.
"Such food is absolutely useless in terms of nutrients, but that's the least. It is dangerous to health, "doctors warn.
The World Health Organization says that after 7,000 clinical trials focusing on malignancies and nutrition, it was concluded that pate and sausages are very dangerous to health and should be excluded from everyone's menu.
