There is hardly a person who does not celebrate birthdays, name days and other such happy occasions. When the time comes to welcome our guests, a lot of thinking begins about what to treat them to. Well, the most practical, tasty and varied menu are sandwiches. They do not require any heat treatment in most cases and at the same time are very easy to prepare.

Besides, they are not expensive. We buy different products, make different sandwiches and so we will impress our guests with variety. Sandwiches can also be the perfect breakfast for a family. And what could be better than variety for a capricious child early in the morning?

Sandwiches can be either single or double. For single sandwiches, products are used on which a second slice of bread should not be placed. These can be Russian salad, caviar and others. If a second slice is placed on top, it will push the products to the sides. A variety of caviar and other exotic products can also be used for single sandwiches. They should decorate the sandwich and therefore no second slice is placed on them either.

Sandwich products are the most diverse - fish, meat, sausages and much more. However, it is very important how the bread will be cut. Always use a sharp knife and cut carefully. The slices should not be thick and should be cut smoothly.

Before they are made sandwiches, we must prepare the products in advance - to peel and cut salami, yellow cheese, etc. However, this must be done no more than 2 hours before preparing the sandwich. Otherwise the products will dry out and the breakfast will not be tasty.

If you are making a sandwich with salted fish, it should be desalinated. This is done by soaking in water for 8-10 hours. If you use oil, remove it from the refrigerator beforehand to soften it. This will make it much easier to apply.

Another important thing for sandwiches is that they are served correctly. Never overload the plate. If possible, put 1 type of sandwich on a plate. This way guests will enjoy the different types.

Here are some tips from the old cookbooks on how and with what to prepare delicious sandwiches, with which our grandmothers learned to make them and impressed the guests:

- Sandwich with yellow cheese and cheese - the two slices are smeared with butter. Cut a thin piece / in the shape of bread / of yellow cheese and cheese, place on top of each other and cover with the second slice. Be careful not to overdo the thickness of the cheese and yellow cheese, it will lose its good taste;

- Sandwich with tarama caviar - take the broken caviar and place it on the slice. When spreading, leave a thicker layer of caviar in the middle of the slice. You can put an olive there. This will give the sandwich a beautiful look;

- Sandwich with salami and other types of sausages - most often used here ham, bacon salami or sausage. But the market is quite diverse and you can put whatever sausage you want. A double sandwich can also be made here. Spread a thin layer of butter on both slices. Cut the sausages thinly and place them on the slice. Finally, cover with the second slice;

- Sandwich with fish - is prepared in the same way as a sandwich with sausage. However, it is good to add a few drops of lemon;

- Sandwich with anchovies - on a slice of bread arrange circles of hard-boiled egg. Place 1 fish wrapped like a ring on each circle and put mayonnaise in the middle of the ring;

- Sandwich with egg paste - the eggs are hard boiled. When you peel them, separate the yolks from the whites. Mash the yolks with a spoon and add a little black pepper and salt and oil. Stir until a thick cream is obtained, with which to spread the slice. Sprinkle with planed egg whites on top.
