Tea is one of the oldest drinks known to man. Its history dates back thousands of years for the Chinese, and for us Europeans - only a few centuries. Tea is present at the tables of people of different nationalities and ages. It is not only a means of quenching thirst and invigoration, but above all it is a natural medicine used over the centuries and in our time.

The traditions associated with drinking tea are preserved to this day in the homes of English nobles, who do not fail to enjoy a cup of aromatic tea at exactly 17.00, served with fresh sweets. And the Chinese, in addition to enjoying the taste and aroma of tea, use tea leaves to foretell and predict human destinies.

In Japan, drinking tea was a whole ceremony, the purpose of which was to relax your mind and feel your harmony with nature and the world around you. In the beginning, it was performed only by male samurai, who said that they did not think of war.

It was only later that the tea ritual was performed by the whole family, even becoming such an important part of the family coziness that every Japanese woman was taught the intricacies of making tea from an early age.

Nowadays, no one spends so much time on this drink, which we also buy from vending machines and drink in plastic cups, but centuries ago tea was associated with home comfort and harmony.

Thanks to these traditions, the crafts related to the making of beautiful teapots, plates, cups, spoons and all kinds of objects from the life around us, related to drinking and making tea, are also developed and improved.

Separately, the flavors of tea are diversified through the many different additives to it: honey, lemon, milk, cream, rum or cognac. There is also a variety of ways to serve tea, whether it is loose, pressed on a plate or packaged with filter paper or soluble.

Tea is not only delicious but also a healing drink. It has a stimulating effect, which is related to its caffeine content. In addition, it contains mystery, essential oils, alkaloids and many vitamins, and tea leaves contain natural antioxidants.

Tea is a universal drink, it can warm us if we are cold, but it can also protect us from colds, to tone us if we are tired, or just sweeten our lives.
