Undoubtedly tiramisu is one of the most popular, most loved and most often prepared desserts. However, the recipes for it are so diverse that the name tiramisu is called desserts that do not look like the classic recipe.

Tiramisu is made with biscuits, strong espresso, mascarpone and Marsala dessert wine. These are the golden ingredients of classic tiramisu. Here's how to make your favorite Italian cake with a unique aroma and rich taste.

Classic tiramisu

Necessary products:

For the cream: 4 egg yolks, ½ tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. Marsala (or almond aperitif), 400 g mascarpone, 250 ml liquid cream.

For the cookies: 24 cookies, 4 tbsp. cocoa, 1 tsp. espresso, 1 tsp. Marsala (or almond aperitif), 1 tbsp. sugar.

Method of preparation: The first step is the preparation of the products. All tiramisu products should be removed from the refrigerator beforehand, as they must be at room temperature.

The espresso is boiled. To it add 2 tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. Marsala or almond aperitif. Stir and set aside.

The next step is the cream. Beat the yolks and sugar with a mixer until the mixture thickens and turns white. Pour into a bowl and add 1 tsp. Marsala. Place the bowl in a saucepan of water and stir in a water bath for about 10-12 minutes until the mixture thickens. Move the bowl to another bowl of cold water and stir until the mixture cools completely.

To the already cooled mixture, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, add the lightly whipped mascrapone cheese and the whipped cream. Stir until a thick cream is obtained.

Next is the arrangement of the tiramisu. You need a rectangular tray for this purpose. Melt each cookie in the coffee mixture for a few seconds and arrange on the bottom of the pan. Melt in just 2-3 seconds, otherwise the cookies will fall apart.

When the whole bottom of the pan is covered, they are covered with ½ of cream. A second row of soaked cookies is lined up on top of it. The rest of the cream was spread on them. The tray is stored for 3-4 hours in the refrigerator. Tiramisu is served sprinkled with plenty of cocoa.
