The tubes they are not very popular in Bulgaria and probably the main reason for this is that they are very rare. You will recognize them by their funnel-shaped shape and dark color, and to some extent they resemble the gray crow's foot.
However, if you are not an experienced mushroom picker, we would advise you to buy them from the mushroom gardens, where they are grown cultivated or dried mushrooms in the shops.
The latter should not bother you, because even when dried, this mushroom has a very pleasant aroma. Last but not least, we will add that in terms of taste it is often compared to truffles.
Here are some ideas of what you can do prepare with the tubes.
Tubular salad

A classic salad with tubes is after blanching them to add them to shredded iceberg leaves, a few sprigs of green garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt to taste.
You can also trust one french recipe with tubes, for which, in addition to mushrooms, you will also need a few drunk red cherries, honey and spices. Blanch the tubes again in water to which you have added a little salt and allspice grains.
After removing the mushrooms from the water and draining them, add a little honey, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, finely chopped green onions, salt and pepper to taste. Stir the salad and serve it with a few drunk cherries on it. The French know their job, after all!
Stewed tubes
All mushrooms are great for stewing, which you probably know how to do. It is best after chopping them, stew them in oil and season them with salt and pepper. You can also add finely chopped fresh garlic to them during stewing.
Mushroom soup with tubes
There are no special recipes for mushroom soups that are specific to tubes, so here your imagination in the products should unfold. We advise you to add parsnip root to your soup. They say that mushroom soup from tubes is really special!
Main dishes with tubes
The tubes are combined very good with rice and potatoes, as well as pork, beef and chicken. They are used to prepare all kinds of stews with mushrooms and pots.
A great recipe suitable for using this type of mushroom is to cook chicken juliennes with tubes. Taste the meat to your liking and fry it in a little oil. When it is ready, transfer it to the plate in which you will serve it.
In the same cast iron pan, stew the pomegranates, pour them over the meat and season with wild garlic and parsley. Great and exquisite taste!
