Juniper is called the Chinese date, which has been known to the world for more than 5,000 years, but is only now beginning to gain popularity in Bulgaria. Such plantations are increasingly common in India, Pakistan, USA, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal and others. The interest in Chinese dates is extremely high, because the fruits can be used raw and processed into purees, compotes, jams, marinades or candied.

Processed jujube is widely used in the pharmaceutical, confectionery and perfume industries. In our country the plant is very easy to grow, there are no cases in which it can be attacked by diseases or pests.

Chinese date is also preferred because of its extremely useful properties. Fresh fruits contain many valuable ingredients such as sugars, organic acids, proteins and more. Juniper contains a large amount of cobalt, iodine, iron and especially vitamin C. Its flowers are also very honey and provide grazing for bees for the late summer months (flowering is in June-July), when the mass of flowering plants has long bloomed.

In the past, jujube has been used to treat colds, liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, digestive system disease, high blood pressure and cholesterol regulation. All parts of the Chinese date have healing properties - and the bark, and leaves, and roots, and fruits.

Autumn is the best time if you want to plant a juniper sapling in your yard. These can already be found on our market. If you have already tasted the fruits of this plant, you can also grow it from the stone.

Chinese date trees are very productive. They begin to bear fruit in the second or third year of planting. The plant can grow as a shrub if the grown shoots are not pruned.

Juniper is also referred to as the "iron tree" because its wood is very hard. Its root system is quite powerful - its roots can reach up to 3 meters in depth and up to 7 meters in diameter. Therefore, the plant is not capricious and can grow in both subtropical and temperate-continental climates. It is resistant to cold - up to minus 30 degrees Celsius, which gives a chance to the Chinese date to grow freely in our latitudes.
