Of course, there is nothing better than making a decoction of thyme yourself, as long as you know when to pick it, how to dry and prepare it. Here are some tips in this regard:

1. The herb grandmother's oregano should be harvested during the flowering period, namely from May to September. It is then dried and stored in paper bags. Store in a dry and ventilated place;

2. Thyme it has a soothing effect, has an expectorant and expectorant effect, and if you extract the essential oil from it, it would also have a disinfecting effect. It is also used in intestinal and gastric diseases, but mostly in all types of cough, especially in bronchitis and bronchopneumonia, shortness of breath and influenza.

3. To make a decoction of thyme, you need to soak 2 tablespoons of the herb in 500 ml of boiling water for about 2 hours. The decoction is then filtered and 100 ml of the tea thus prepared is taken 4 times a day before meals;

4. You can also make a thyme compress to apply in case of burns, skin injuries, sprains, etc.;

5. If you suffer from toothache, you can steam thyme and gargle several times a day with it;

6. If you add a little honey to the brewed thyme, it turns into a wonderful tea, the benefits of which are already listed.
