Almonds are an organic food. These nuts are extremely rich in nutrients, and due to their high content of dietary fiber, protein and organic vitamins and minerals such as calcium, potassium and magnesium, are considered suitable for maintaining healthy food.

A recent American study also proved the fact that their intake on an empty stomach helps to reduce hunger without weight gain.

The study was conducted by researchers at Pardew University in Indiana for four weeks. It was attended by 137 elderly people, most with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes.

It has been found that eating 43 grams of roasted, lightly salted almonds every day can actually reduce the hunger of volunteers. At the same time, they increased their levels of vitamin E and intake of "good" fats without leading to weight gain.

To take advantage of their magical effect, it is enough to consume 30 almonds.

The volunteers who took part in the pioneering experience were divided into five groups. One control group avoided all nuts and seeds. The other ate 43 grams of almonds for breakfast. The third took the nuts for lunch. There was also one who ate almonds in the morning and another who ate them in the afternoon.

The rules of the study did not impose any other prohibitions or restrictions on the five groups. They simply had to follow their usual eating and physical habits.

The results were astounding. Although they ate about 250 calories a day in the form of almonds, it turned out that they generally did not eat extra calories.

It turns out that almonds are probably the perfect option for a snack, especially for those who are worried about their weight. In the study, participants compensated for the extra calories of almonds so that their daily energy intake did not increase.

Many of them noted a markedly decreased appetite and desire for the next meal, especially when almonds were consumed as a snack and not during a meal.
