Here are some tips for drying some of our favorite fruits.

Dried pears

The pears are washed, the seeds are removed and cut into thin slices. To avoid darkening, they need to be immersed in a one percent solution of tartaric acid (10 g of acid per liter of water). Before drying, the pear slices are immersed in boiling water for a minute or two. After this procedure, they are arranged on a net or wooden grill, stirring occasionally so that they do not stick. Initially dried in the sun and then in the shade.

Larger fruits are best for drying. It is good that they have dried before we tear them off. The fruits are arranged with the stalks down on wooden grills. It is good to turn the fruit almost every day. Their drying lasts about 10-12 days. They can also be strung on a thread and left in the sun.

Prunes are most often dried, but junk can also be dried. The most important condition is that the fruits are well ripened to be sweet. Wash well and after draining, boil for 2-3 minutes in boiling water. Arrange on a grill or net and dry in the sun.

Drying is the same as for other fruits. We need to choose sweet and fragrant varieties with a few seeds. The beans are rotten and boiled in boiling water, to which a little wood oil is added. It gives the nipples a shiny look. After draining, the beans are allowed to dry.

Mushrooms are best for drying. Only good undamaged mushrooms are selected. It is necessary to clean well with a brush of sand and sticky particles. The stumps are cut and dried separately.
