Method of preparation:
Pour into a bread machine the water, milk, egg, 1/3 cup butter, sugar, salt, flour and yeast. When kneading is finished, the dough is removed and placed on a lightly floured surface. It is divided into two halves. Roll out each half in the shape of a 30 cm circle. Grease each circle on top with the other oil - 1/4 tea cup.
Cut each circle into eight separate pieces as you cut the cake. Roll each triangular piece of dough into a roll, starting to roll it from the wider to the narrower part. Arrange the dough rolls in a tray on greaseproof baking paper. Cover them with a clean kitchen towel on top and place in a warm place for about 1 hour to rise further. Then bake in a preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
Sweet rolls with orange shavings
Necessary products:
For the dough: 1/4 teaspoon warm water, 1 packet dry yeast, 1/4 teaspoon sugar, 2 large eggs - beaten, 6 tablespoons unsalted butter - melted, 1/2 teaspoon sour cream, 1 teaspoon salt, 3 and 1/2 to 4 tea cups flour.
For the filling: 3/4 teaspoon sugar, 1 tablespoon grated orange peel, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter - melted.
For the glazing: 1/2 teaspoon unsalted butter, 3/4 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon sour cream, 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice.
Method of preparation:
Stuffing: in a small bowl, mix the sugar and orange peel. Set the mixture aside.
Dough: in a wide bowl, mix warm water and yeast. Stir it and leave it until it dissolves in the water for about 10 minutes. Add sugar, eggs, melted butter, cream, salt to it. Mix all ingredients until a smooth homogeneous mixture is obtained. Then slowly add the pre-sifted flour. Knead the resulting dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic. Knead for five minutes and add more flour if the dough is too sticky.
Then put it in a well-greased bowl and grease it on top. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and leave the dough to rise in a warm place until it doubles in volume. Take out the dough and mix it again briefly. Divide it in half. Roll out the two balls of dough in the shape of a circle - about 30 centimeters. Use a pastry brush and polish the surface of both circles with butter. Then sprinkle with the sugar-orange mixture.
Cut both circles into 12 equal pieces, as if cutting a cake. Roll each of them into a roll, starting from the wider part. Prepare two pans with greased baking paper. Arrange the dough rolls in them, making sure that they are 2 cm apart. Leave them to rise for another 1-2 hours. Then put them to bake in a preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned on top.
Meanwhile, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, mix the butter, cream, sugar, orange juice. Allow all ingredients to simmer for about 3 minutes. Stir gently and constantly at all times so as not to burn. Remove the pan from the heat and wait for the glaze to cool slightly. Once the rolls are ready and while they are still warm, polish them with the prepared mixture. Serve slightly chilled.
Aromatic rolls with honey and walnuts
Necessary products:
For the dough: 2/3 teaspoon powdered milk, 2 teaspoons warm water, 1/3 teaspoon sugar, 1/3 teaspoon butter, 2 tablespoons dry yeast, 5-6 teaspoons flour, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon sol.
For glazing: 1/2 teaspoon liquid honey, 1/3 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon finely chopped walnuts, 3 tablespoons creamy butter, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
Method of preparation:
In a bowl, mix the yeast and water, mixing them with a mixer. Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes. Then add the sugar, butter, salt, milk powder, 2 teaspoons of flour and egg. Mix all ingredients again with a mixer. Gradually add the remaining flour.
Once the dough is ready, take it out of the bowl and start kneading it on a floured surface until it becomes elastic. Put it back in the bowl, grease the top with oil. Preheat the oven and bake the rolls for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the ingredients for the glazing. Pour honey, sugar, walnuts, butter and cinnamon into a small saucepan and heat over low heat. Do not allow the mixture to boil. Remove the pan from the heat. Remove the rolls and sprinkle with the glaze mixture. Then put them back in the oven for light baking.
