A new norm for the amount of meat that must be in sausages will be introduced in our country. According to the new requirement, the meat in sausages must be at least 50 percent of the total content.

The current Stara Planina standard operates on a similar principle, but it is not mandatory, while the new norm will cover all sausages on the market.

A minimum mandatory amount of milk will also be introduced for dairy products. A similar law is being considered for chocolate products and soft drinks.

The new rules are prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture, and their purpose is to overcome the double standard in food. In Italy, for example, soft drinks are required to contain at least 12% fruit juice. In our country it is proposed that this content be 5%.

Flavorings, colors and other additives do not have any nutritional harmony, but they are high in calories and if they accumulate in the body, they can cause health problems, commented Professor Donka Baikova to Nova TV.
